Antalgė hillfort

Antalgė hillfort, Untalgė hillfort is in the territory of Utena district municipality, Leliūnai neighborhood, near Antalgė village. Accessible from the highway Kaunas-Zarasai turning left southward in Antalgė, towards Avižieniai after 1.1km and walking through the fields to the left north-eastwards, past the poultry farm for about 400m.  

A hillfort is called a small hill near the meliorated swamp. The site of 13x9m. There was found charcoal and some fragments of brushed, smooth and rough pottery. Slopes of medium steepness, up to 8m high. The hillfort is severely damaged by ploughing and lies waste. During archeological explorations a stone paving of 3×0.5m was discovered. The hillfort dates back to the beginning of the I millennium AD.
