Bajoriškės hillfort

Bajoriškės hillfort is in the territory of Utena district municipality, west of Daugailiai, Daugailiai neighborhood. Accessible from the highway Utena – Zarasai, past the lake Liminas and turning right southward, 200m by a path, on the left side in the south-west.  

The hillfort was built on the hill, on the north-eastern bank of the lake Liminėlis. The site 40x15m, the north-eastern edge 1m higher. The southern and western slopes are steep, 21m high; the northern slope is inclined, 2m high.

The hillfort is severely damaged by ploughing, the south-eastern slope is full of pits for potatoes. Now it lies waste. The hillfort dates back to the I millennium BC – the beginning of the I millennium AD.
