Bajoriškiai manor

The manor is on the left side of the highway Utena-Zarasai, 2km west of Daugailiai, near the lake Indrajys. In the XIXc. the manor belonged to the landlords Stachovskiai of Utena valsčius (rural administrative unit), who owned 420 tithes of land, which was owned by brothers Romualdas and Justinas Stachovskiai. At the end of the XIXc. Justinas‘ son Julijus had 524 tithes of land. Before the war the manor was owned by Ušackai. In 1923, there lived 25 residents in the manor. The wooden dwelling building, which after war belonged to Vilnius drill factory, burnt down. Some old trees survived. During the times of the Stachovskiai there used to be a brick chapel, which at the beginning of the XXc. deteriorated. On the peninsula of the lake Indrajys there was an old cemetery.
